The Bixby Memorial Free Library proudly serves and is supported by the people of Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes, and Waltham, Vermont. Built to create a lending library and showcase of treasured papers and artifacts in 1911, the library houses an extensive collection of current fiction and non-fiction titles, audiobooks, and DVDs, as well as notable collections of local historical objects, artifacts, artwork, and archival documents. The 110-year-old building, with its stately ionic columns and the spectacular stained glass dome above the marble lobby, make the Bixby one of the most beautiful in the state.
